Demand Retail Planner / Buyer
  • Major department store training program preferred,
  • buyer/planner on retail side as well as wholesale retail
  • replenishment analysis in a seasonally driven product category
  • knowledge of department store replenishment systems helpful
  • accuracy of the replenishment demand forecasts at the account, brand, style/color level.
  • utilize information received from POS data, Retailer, Retail Analysts, Account Executives to formulate demand forecasts.
  • monitor, manage, and report variances of actual consumer demand forecasts vs sales forecasts and retailer open to buy financials.
  • communication with the Global Sourcing Operations team to review changes in the demand forecast in order to maintain optimal wholesale inventory levels and retailer in stock rates.
  • The demand planning team’s inception into the business will allow account executives and retail analysts the opportunity to focus on other aspects of their business.
  • A net result should be increased wholesale and retail sales, greater profitability and improved inventory turns both internally and externally (for our retail customers).

Responsibilities:
  • Creation / maintenance of monthly color projections by style for all replenishment programs for all Key Customers in Excel spreadsheets
  • Timely maintenance of updated/revised demand forecasts into ACS projection system
  • Collaborate daily with GSC team on issues/opportunities to optimize & Retailer inventories and increase both wholesale and retail sales.
  • Weekly review of replenishment EDI orders in comparison to projected demand forecast by account/style/color. Requires continuous collaboration to maximize sales opportunities and minimize inventory liabilities. Review should also include the viability of accepting the order and its potential future ramifications on the business.
  • Analyze and provide recommended size scales by account/style/color quarterly to GS Merch Ops team for appropriate sized safety stock.
  • Maintain customer model stocks by style/color
  • Participate in monthly replenishment review meeting by brand with GSC to make buys
  • Preparation of volume gross profit forecasts for seasonal and annual budgets
  • Report and manage variances of annual, seasonal, and monthly sales budgets by account and brand to account demand forecasts. Strategize with Ret Analysts, Account Executives, and Finance at key inventory purchase deadlines to assess the risk of purchasing additional inventories to achieve sales forecast.

Requirements:
  • Major department store training program preferred,

  • B.A. or B.S. degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong mathematical & analytical skills
  • Has high attention to detail & able to multitask/reprioritize in a fast paced environment

Base salary to 80K

Retail Analyst
Dress Furnishings

  • responsible for supporting the growth of the respective businesses through working with the Retail Analysts, Sales force, Field team and at times communicating through the accounts.

Responsibilities:
  • Weekly posting/analysis of topside sales flash and AUR by account.
  • Weekly analysis of style selling and report trends to sales and design staff.
  • Maintain by account seasonal OTB and recommend necessary receipt flow / markdowns.
  • Monthly analysis of business by door by account to capitalize on future growth opportunities.
  • Analyze / recommend by account quarterly margin settlement – provide up front (4-6 weeks in advance) forecast of margin needs by account.
  • Create by door seasonal sales & stock plans by account to ensure 6 month flows are in place.
  • Participate in the presentation of the seasonal sales plans to the retailer senior management – prepare the meeting materials including sales plans , account histories & other supporting documents as needed.
  • Participate in market appointments both in the business review and actual purchasing making recommendations based on historical sales performance
  • Work in concert with demand planners/AE’s to ensure realistic projections for replenishment are planned based on retail trend/plans to the style/color/size level. Utilize Demand tool to forecast initial projections.
  • Weekly monitoring of EDI (replenishment shipments) to ensure we achieve stock plans and maximize monthly financial objectives.
  • Assist Manager in gathering of wholesale budgets working with sales team.

Requirements:
  • 2-5 years retail/whole experience would be preferred.
  • BA or BS degree
  • MS office (excel / word / PowerPoint). Especially proficient in linking of excel formulas/spreadsheets.

BASE SALARY TO 80K
