Central Care, Inc. is seeking a Dental Hygienist to work for the US Coast Guard Clinic at Clearwater, FL
The dental hygienist will perform a full range of dental hygienist procedures and practices on site using Government furnished facilities, equipment and supplies to a variety of patients. All aspects of Dental Hygiene service shall be commensurate with the capabilities of the health care worker and the Dental Clinic
Dental Hygienist will work up to 32 hours a week, Monday-Friday (excluding Federal Holidays and other Base Down Days) between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30 PM. There may be on occasion requirements to work outside the normal hours to fulfill the needs of the patient population.
The duties include but are not limited to the following :
Routine workload will be in response to Government demand in the form of Dental Officer prescription and the regularly scheduled checkups and maintenance program of all residents. Primary workload is a result of appointments for outpatient and inpatient clients in response to the dental clinic’s approved dental clinic schedule
History, detailed examination, testing (to include blood pressure screening) and diagnosis
Performing dental prophylaxis to include ultrasonic and hand scaling, tooth polishing, and oral hygiene instruction
Performing extra and intraoral radiography and fluoride treatments

The ideal candidate must have the following:
Possess a degree or certificate in dental hygiene from a school or dental hygiene approved by the Council on Dental Education of the ADA
Hold a current, unrestricted license to practice dental hygiene in the state of Florida
Have experience as a dental hygienist for at least 12 months
"No adverse information on file" with the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB)
A current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
