Under the direct supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services the Department Secretary is responsible for clerical and operational support to all services consistent with the Director’s scope.
Responsible for word-processing, filing, faxing, copying, phone calls, payroll, data entry, and other miscellaneous operational tasks as assigned.
Performs inventory counts and maintains par levels.
Each patient is assessed by appropriate disciplines beginning at the time the patient enters a hospital service and progressing through discharge.
The patient’s relevant physical, psychological and social status will be assessed.
The person in this position is responsible for consideration of developmental issues of patients in each of the following age groups identified:
Birth to 1 year
Age 1 to 3
Age 3 to Age 5
Age 5 to Age 12
Age 12 to Age 18
Age 18 to Age 44
Age 45 to Age 65
Age 65 and Over
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school graduate/G.E.D.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- Able to type 50 WPM accurately.
- Computer experience required
