Assist customers both via telephone or walk-ins to the fullest without giving any legal advice or making any recommendations and/or take messages if need be. Assist customers with the recording, filing, and issuing of documents which include but are not limited to judicial, probate, mental, juvenile, and/or civil records. Appears assigned Court to serve as the official record keeper of all actions taken on relevant cases.

Examples of Duties:
  • Maintain oath of confidentiality for all confidential records.
  • Process documents being recorded/filed which includes determining amount due and obtaining payment from customer (detailed procedures for recording of documents available upon hired).
  • Initiates the process for judicial proceedings (complaints, petitions, and.or applications).
  • Prepare outgoing/incoming mail, send and/or distribute faxes to appropriate Clerk.
  • File marks documents according to specific guidelines.
  • Process various certified
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Must be willing to learn operation of office computer system.
  • Must have knowledge of standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must type 30 wpm.
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Must possess customer service skills

  • Provide accessible information associated to defendant's case as necessary to customers and/or other agencies.
  • Understands and follows oral.written language and/or instructions while in Court.
  • Records all official actions taken in assigned Court for entry of data under respective case.
  • Complies all information necessary for Court duty.
  • Files correspondence and./or other records in respective area.
  • Creates a file for all cases according to their respective court.
  • Must also possess some knowledge of the Public Records procedures in order to assist the public/ Public Records Division.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
