Support DoD Center of Excellence to identify and evaluate best practices and leading principles for prevention, treatment and/or management of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and co-occurring conditions. Support includes:
Conducting research, interviews, focus groups, and other methods to analyze challenges and needs
Development of guidance, tools, and educational products for identified best practices and leading principles
Provide consultation and coordination of Center activities
Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in TBI research, clinical practice, and training.
Work closely with Center staff to develop curriculum and toolkits for training military healthcare providers on best practices for TBI in Nursing, Primary care, mental, health and rehabilitation.
Knowledge/ability to assist in evaluation and identification of clinical challenges and develop recommendations for best practices and leading principles pertaining to psychological health, performance enhancement, health promotion, and prevention for military service members
Knowledge of healthcare operations and services
Ability to consult and collaborate with military healthcare providers, researchers, and policy makers
Demonstrated experience and ability to analyze existing and potential information from a wide variety of sources
Strong public speaking skills, communication, and consultation skills, and ability to work with diverse policy makers, clinicians, and large working groups
Desire and skill to work as member of an interdisciplinary team
Oversee production of timely, high quality work products, appropriate for an executive-level audience, that meet client approved objectives
Effectively lead teams in a multi-work stream environment
Experienced managing multiple teams
Nursing degree - including registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, nurse practitioner, or nursing assistant - with APRN certification or licensure and 3 years’ experience in military healthcare operations or specialized clinical experience with TBI.
Experience working in multi- or interdisciplinary teams
Consultation and liaison with healthcare providers and policy makers
Preferred experience with any of the following
o DoD or operational military setting,
o Health promotion, prevention, or treatment psychological health, TBI and co-occurring conditions
o DoD Centers of Excellence or civilian Healthcare improvement organizations, consulting firms, or State or Federal Healthcare Agencies (e.g, AHRQ, CMS)
