Job Description
Design display models for the orthopedic and dental industries. Generally start with CAD files in a universal format such as STEP or Parasolid and manipulate them using both SolidWorks and Sensable Freeform software. Solely responsible for running and maintaining the Objet Connex 260 rapid prototype machine. Design jigs and fixtures to assist manufacturing. Design and draft prints for model bases and act as technical liaison with outside manufacturing.
Skills
SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD experience a must
Experience Designing with organic shapes (bones for example)
Experience using universal file formats such as .stp, .x_t, and .stl
Print drafting
Assembly component file management
Orthopedic or dental industry experience
Familiar with Objet Rapid Prototype machine maintenance and part cleanup
SensAble Freeform modeling experience a plus
3D Laser Scanning experience a plus
CNC machining experience a plus
Molding and Casting experience using soft tooling a plus
Qualifications
Associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting or Higher.
1+ year of Experience using Solidworks.
