Position Overview

The Designer is responsible for creating visual Web based marketing and product solutions that speak to LeapFrog’s customers; parents and children. More specifically, the Designer will work with Art Directors and other designers to develop and refine visual design concepts, participate in critiques, and contribute toward the larger department’s goals of creating high-end commerce-driving solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong visual design skills, the ability to both concept and ideate, as well as follow existing design systems. This person will also possess a research-oriented design approach, a strong understanding of graphic design (type, color, layout, composition, interaction), a current understanding of the Web and how it relates to consumer facing brands, an understanding of Web and mobile technology, and an ability to work collaboratively. This person must be able to take direction as well as push back, and must also be able to produce quality work within tight timeframes. Experience working in an online retail environment is a huge plus.

Duties & Responsibilities

Concept and design for both new and existing web projects that range from marketing campaigns, to overall site design.

Translate UI flows, wireframes and prototypes into intelligent and beautiful visual designs.

Must be able to collaborate with teams to plan, analyze, organize and execute assigned projects.

Education & Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in Graphic Design or other related areas from an Arts College or accredited University

5+ years of visual design experience

3+ years working with consumer facing brands

A blended background of in-house and agency experience is a plus

Design involvement within online retail is a plus

Experience designing for mobile is a plus
