Smartsource is looking for an experienced Printer Field Service Tech to join their team based out of Greenville, SC. All qualified candidates must meet the requirements and have extensive Printer support background.

Position: Printer Field Service Technician
Location: Greenville, SC.
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00
Type: Temp to Hire
Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

SmartSource has contract to hire opportunities for Field Service Technicians to service copiers, Multi - Function printers, wide format printers, desktops and notebooks at customer sites in Greenville, SC. for a leading provider of global IT managed services.

Job Description:
As a Field Service Technician, you will install, de-install, maintain, and provide preventative maintenance on mono and color stand-alone and networked printers, multifunction printers/copiers, desktops and notebooks installed at our customer's locations. You will provide a high level of support for our customers by exhibiting a high degree of technical proficiency, excellent technical skills and professionalism. You will serve as the first line subject matter expert answering technical and application questions. Maintain accurate and complete documentation, inventories, parts orders and returns, assigned company assets and other administrative paperwork.

Experience Required:
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Products, Networking and Internet. Strong electro/mechanical skills or equivalent experience. Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and time management. Attention to details. Critical thinking skills to assist in problem solving. Strong Teamwork and customer relations skills. Able to handle more than one responsibility at a time. Independent work skills and able to work under deadlines.

Must be technically proficient with all aspects of computer HW/SW repair on printers, laptops, and desktops. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and office suite with a primary focus on Windows Vista, Office XP, and Office 2007. Basic network troubleshooting skills is also a must. Excellent understanding of the customer service business; 3+ year's previous hands-on deskside support experience; Experience replacing printer/desktops/laptops components.

Must have previous field service experience.
Must have previous experience performing hardware repairs on laser printers.
Must have previous experience performing hardware repairs on Xerox printers.

Experience Desired:
OEM certifications (Lexmark, Xerox, HP, Lenovo, Dell, Canon, Toshiba, Apple). A minimum two (2) years of direct related experience, break-fix, repair and support for printers, servers, desktop and notebooks.

Responsibilities include:
On-site maintenance and repair of color and monochrome copier and multi-functional products in an efficient and cost effective manner. Solid ink experience would be a plus. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain current technical knowledge. Maintain and manage a territory of customers. Maintain and complete accurate record keeping and processing of paperwork. Use diagnostic tools, service aids, and product schematics to assess and resolve equipment and system failures.

Meet Global performance benchmarks. Attend in-house or off-site training as directed.
Requires valid driver s license, clean driving record. Other duties as assigned. Management reserves the right to add or delete duties as deemed appropriate.

Certifications:
A+ Certification a plus
PDI+ Certification a plus and is preferred
