The Role As a Developer Evangelist, you’ll be the voice of Couchbase within the developer communities. You’ll drive the understanding and adoption of NoSQL systems that are key components in many new applications. As a speaker, blogger and online community member you’ll reach out to many passionate developers and help them to successfully deploy their applications. You’ll also participate in the development of libraries and example applications to ease the use of Couchbase by developers.
Evangelize the adoption of NoSQL and Couchbase to developer communities
Work with community leaders (User Groups, Meetups) to organize technical events (presentations, workshops)
Speak at developer conferences to reach out to more people
Develop libraries and example applications to ease the use of Couchbase by developers
Contribute to, create and document open source applications and libraries to ease the adoption of Couchbase
Write technical articles about Couchbase tips and tricks
Participate in online communities (forums, stackoverflow, quora, ...) to help developers and increase your visibility
Participation in the development of web or mobile applications ideally with large volumes of users and/or data.
Experience blogging and writing technical articles, ideally with an existing follower base
Public speaking skills with experience presenting to technical audiences (conferences, user groups, meetups)
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Must be self-organized and highly autonomous
Familiarity with distributed network server systems that run cross-platform on Linux and Windows is highly desired.
Experience with git SCM, and tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence is also desired.
Active participation in open source communities preferred
