The Healthcare Development Center offers a variety of services to help over 100 organizations in 39 states identify, pursue, and secure external funding. With deep knowledge in our members' fields, our grant writers are in a unique position to identify the most viable grant opportunities, write relevant grant proposals, and manage proposal development teams.
Hanover is seeking sales professionals to market the customized information-service solutions and grant-development capabilities of our Healthcare division. We are looking for people with a proven track record in sales or business development and experience working within the health care industry to consult with Executive Directors, Presidents, and Vice Presidents of hospital and medical-center foundations with the goal of converting them into Hanover members. This is a hunter role, ideal for energetic sales executives with a passion for helping organizations gain access to content that makes them more effective in carrying out their missions and in securing external funding opportunities.
The ability to identify decision makers and deliver polished presentations that lead to sales will be critical to success in the role. Our business developers are high-energy, self-motivated, agile, and able to think and respond quickly. They are believers in the difference that grant-seeking organizations can make and how the power of research can create more compelling narratives. They are results-oriented and possess the ability to drive urgency and decisions, and are also responsible for the coaching and mentoring of their Development Associate.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
A Bachelor's degree from a superior institution;
Outstanding oral and written communication skills;
Ambitiousness and self-motivation;
Willingness to be accountable for aggressive monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals;
Willingness to develop own prospect pipeline;
A proven track record of success in a high-activity sales environment (phone-based and in-person);
2 - 3 years' experience in a consultative sales role, with average deal size of at least $25k;
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed all targets consistently;
Ability to forecast accurately/assess opportunities realistically.
