Development Director - Non-Profits/NGOs

Hanover Research is seeking sales professionals to market our customized information services solutions to Non-Profit Organizations and other NGOs. We're looking for applicants with a proven track record in sales or business development to consult with VPs, Presidents and other key decision makers at these organizations with the goal of converting them into Hanover members. This is a hunter role, ideal for energetic sales executives with a passion for helping Non-Profit Organizations gain access to information that makes them more effective in carrying out their missions.

The ability to identify decision makers and deliver polished presentations that lead to sales will be critical to success in the role. Our sales executives are high-energy, self-motivated, agile, and able to think and respond quickly. They are believers in the power of research, results oriented, and possess the ability to drive urgency and decisions. These sales executives are also responsible for the coaching and mentoring of their Sales Support Associate.

Location: Washington, D.C.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

A Bachelor's degree from a superior institution;
Outstanding oral and written communication skills;
Ambitiousness and self-motivation;
Willingness to be accountable for aggressive monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals;
Willingness to develop own prospect pipeline;
A proven track record of success in a high-activity sales environment (phone-based or in-person);
2 - 3 years' experience in a consultative sales role, with average deal size of at least $25k;
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed all targets consistently;
Ability to forecast accurately/assess opportunities realistically.
