The intern will work on the Lewiston Pump Generating Plant (LPGP) Life Extension Modernization (LEM) program and St. Lawrence generator program. In addition, we have follow up work on the St. Lawrence LEM program, various tasks on the Robert Moses Niagara Power Project (RMNPP) standardization program, Crescent and Vischer Ferry overhauls, and emerging work at Blehiem Gilboa (BG). Conduct Finite-Element Analyses (FEA) on turbine generator components at both St. Lawrence and LPGP, analysis of test data from start-up testing to be carried out in the late summer of 2012 in support of LPGP LEM, and other analyses in support of the Crescent, Vischer Ferry and BG projects.

Required Skills Strong computing skills, knowledge of FEA (Computational finite-element analyses), ANSYS and Solidworks is a plus. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, etc...) Must be able to work in a team environment, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be well organized.

Required Experience Minimum 3 rd or 4 th year Mechanical Engineering undergraduate or graduate student. Grade Point Average must be at least 3.0 and student transcript required with resume.
