The Dietary Aide/Server is responsible to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.
All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork and first class customer service. The Dietary Aide/Server receives residents, takes residents' orders, and processes those orders in a timely manner with a professional demeanor. The Dietary Aide/Server candidate must have a warm and friendly personality that puts our residents at ease and sets expectations of dining excellence. The ideal Dietary Aide/Server has a high school diploma/GED or equivalent, and must demonstrate understanding of safe sanitation standards, has outstanding interpersonal skills, and has a genuine interest in serving the elderly and disabled.
The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Provide food service to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions,
-- Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room etc., as instructed
-- Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties
-- Perform side-work
-- Bus tables, as needed
-- Wash and clean utensils and dishes as directed
-- Perform set up and breakdown of various stations (i.e., deli, dessert, coffee, espresso)
-- Seat residents
-- Communicate with support staff and management
-- Practice, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures according to policy and health/sanitation regulations
-- Manage and maintain a safe working condition
-- Maintain fast, accurate service, positive resident relations, and ensure products are consistent with quality standards
-- Perform other duties as assigned
