Lakeside Behavioral Health System has been the premier provider of
specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the
Memphis and mid-south region. The 319 bed facility is located on a
safe and private 37 acre campus in northeast Shelby County and
provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment for adults,
seniors, adolescents and children. Lakeside's specialized programs
treat disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as addictive
disease disorders such as alcoholism and drug addiction. At

provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients,
staff and guests in accordance with established policies and
procedures and in a manner consistent with the philosophy and
objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health System.
Prefer high school diploma or
equivalent. P refer prior culinary experience in a restaurant, casual or
fine dining kitchen, hospital, health care, or hospitality setting.
Experience with Buffets, Banquets or EDR kitchens preferred. Serve Safe Certification
Prepares meals from standardized recipes in accordance with
the menu and ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of
foods in a safe and sanitary manner.
Assumes responsibility for proper food handling and
utilization of all foods to prevent contamination, increase quality
and reduce cost.
Sets up food service line and workstations with the needed
condiments and ensures all required condiments and garnishes are
served with the appropriate foods.
Assists in prep for the following day’s

Assists in special events and
Responds to the community issues or concerns that may occur
in the dining room in the absence of the Chef/Manager or Assistant

and stored appropriately.
10. Assists in always using
the FILO method (First in First Out) in stock room, cooler, ice cream
freezer, walk in cooler and freezer.
11. Maintains kitchen
cleanliness and proper food preparation according to state and local
health department code requirements and departmental procedures.

minimum by utilizing food storage and food recycling techniques and
