Franciscan Ministries Inc. is seeking a full time, Dietary Manager position for its Assisted Living facility, Dayspring Villa, located in Denver, Colorado. The purpose of this position is to provide management direction and leadership to the site dietary staff in alignment with Franciscan Ministries, Inc. (FMI) policies and procedures. This position provides oversight and supervision of day-to-day dietary services to ensure that this department contributes to the long-term viability of the property. This position frequently requires independent judgment, timely management of deadlines as well as discretion in carrying out responsibilities. Specific Responsibilities: Operates the department within the financial guidelines and budget approved by FMI. Leads and supervises staff in alignment with FMI policies and property objectives. Operates a safe, sanitary and efficiently run department. Responsible for all FMI and regulatory compliance requirements for their department. Ensures timely preparation and delivery of quality food service.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Three years supervisory experience in restaurant, catering or health care food service environment preferred. Prior experience with budget preparation and management as well as understanding financial reports. Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook). Excellent reading, writing and arithmetic skills with emphasis in weights and measures. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong self-management and organization skills. Effective leadership and supervision skills. Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines, flexible and adaptable in a constantly changing environment. Fire safety, first aide and dietary training (as applicable) are required within 90 days of hire. Ability to effectively handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality. Work Schedule: This is a full time, benefit eligible position scheduled to working Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
