Purpose of Position
This position develops objectives and organizational plans for the effective delivery of Women's, Infants and Children (WIC) Program at the State, region and local levels. Supervises assigned Women's, Infants and Children (WIC) staff and oversees clinical operations in multiple counties and clinics. The position may directly oversee budgets in the areas of nutrition education and/or breastfeeding peer counseling in relation to local level service delivery in the Northeast Region.
This position is a Pay Band 70.
Dietitians and Nutritionists Supervisor
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Dietetics, Home Economics, Family and Consumer Science or other Health degree with a minimum of nine (9) semester hours in Food Science or Nutrition or current status and two (2) years of experience in Food Service, Dietetics or other health field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Successful completion of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). Some travel throughout NM in all types of weather is required for this position.
