JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Pricing & Contracts for Respiratory Care is responsible for developing and managing strategic pricing and contract programs to maximize achievable prices for our products and contracts.

This position is also responsible for leading the development and implementation of internal pricing processes, including pricing analytics and other development.

Coordinates cross functional pricing strategy development meetings with senior leaders in marketing, sales management, product development, corporate and finance, driving strategic pricing dialogue of appropriate governance over price, signed agreements, and general pricing compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive the development of US customer pricing policies, programs, gross/net pricing and discounts across the customer base.

Lead the development of comprehensive pricing plans.

Develop strategic pricing communications to ensure maximum long-term value capture with the industry.

Develop meaningful market analytics that foster strategic thinking regarding the most significant sales and margin growth opportunities relative to industry and competitive trends.

Demonstrate the ability to convert pricing theory and strategy into strong business plans.

Work with field sales organization to understand market trends and develop targets and strategy for strategic contracting.

Manage existing contracts and ensure efficient contract implementation both internally and with the customer.

Engage marketing leaders on assessing product portfolio and setting prices.

Consult marketing teams on new product pricing, product price positioning and forecasting.

Partner with managed markets and corporate reimbursement to assist robust business planning, forecasting and price accountability.

Facilitate proper field communication and adoption.

Collaborate with compliance, legal and other Hill-Rom contract personnel to ensure consistent best practice solutions are developed and collaborative agreements are leveraged whenever possible.

Drive continuous improvement in the contract and price management structure.

·

Negotiate complex contract negotiations with economic buyers from all regions of US Sales.

·

Work collaboratively with IT to ensure best practices in contract implementation and administration, maximize our efficiency in both areas.

·

Cultivate and develop strong relationships with internal operations, finance, human resources and other support functions to maximize profitability and efficiencies.

·

Meet administrative expectations; understands and adheres to all company and regulatory/compliance policies and procedures.

·

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
·

B.S./B.A. required, Master’s Degree preferred

·

7-10 years of marketing experience in a health care field required

·

5+ years of pricing & contracts experience required

·

Strong background in finance with a proven understanding of sales and marketing needs

·

Experience partnering with commercial functions

·

Knowledge of health care environment and medical device requirements

·

Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills

·

Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills

·

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software

·

Valid driver’s license

·

Ability to travel 50-70%
