Working Title : Director of Budget and Administrative Services- Student Affairs
Job Summary/Essential Functions : The Director of Budget and Administration Services is responsible for supporting the fiscal and business management functions within the Division of Student Affairs under the direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs. The position also directs the S&A fee process/committee, supervises the Student Accounting Office, provides administrative oversight for the Childcare Center and Health Services contracts, directs educational programs to develop students' financial management competencies, and oversees the Division's assessment process.
Conditions of Employment : This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt or, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value; as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. Successful applicant will be required to pass a background check for continued employment.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant area
The experience, knowledge and abilities described below are typically demonstrated through the equivalent of at least three years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, business or finance in a supervisory capacity.
-Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
-Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
-Commitment to ensuring access and opportunity for all students.
-High level of competence with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
-Application and strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
-Interest in and aptitude for program assessment and project management.
Demonstrated successful experience in the following areas:
-Accounting and financial/budget management.
-Managing staff and student workers.
-Managing and tracking multi-fund budgets.
-Conducting reviews and audits, analyzing programs, creating reports, and identifying appropriate corrective recommendations.
-Administering contracts or grants, providing appropriate guidance and oversight.
-Representing management objectives and goals within an organization, including to individuals who do not directly report to the position.
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.
Preferred Qualifications :
-Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Public Administration, or Finance.
-Experience with CAS Assessment tool.
-Training or teaching experience.
-Experience with Banner financial system module.
