NHS Human Services, through its subsidiaries is one of

community-based human services. With nationally

in the areas of mental health, addictive diseases,
autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities,
juvenile justice, treatment foster care, education and

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) interacts with
each consumer in a variety of potential settings,
including community homes, family and individual homes
and generic community settings, providing personal care,
instruction, guidance, mentoring and companionship,
according to the individual's Person Centered
Plan/Individual Support Plan (ISP). The DSP provides a
level of care that enhances the health, safety and
contentment of every consumer served.
Job duties vary according to consumer. Personal care,
personal assistance, and light housekeeping are typical.
Some transportation of consumers may be required. A
valid driver s license and reliable vehicle are
mandatory. Travel, physical, and clearance
