JOB DESCRIPTION: Supervise all aspects of door-to-door sales, including direct supervision for Direct Sales Representatives in the outlying markets of Arvin/Lamont, Taft, Delano, Shafter, Wasco and Tehachapi. The Supervisor will ensure the sales objectives of the department are met. This Supervisor must be bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervises, interviews, selects, trains, promotes, schedules, motivates, evaluates, and disciplines all sales personnel in outlying areas.
Works with department head to establish sales goals.
Monitors the sales team in both maintenance and acquisition of accounts.
Oversees daily activities, including territory assignments, sales policies and procedures, commission structure, incentive/bonus programs, sales analysis, market saturation.
Conducts regular staff meetings.
Provides weekly sales summaries and demonstrate understanding of sales volume by RGU.
Completes payroll reports for all personnel.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Utilize knowledge of cable industry, sales supervision, evaluation methods and office procedures.
Must have good persuasive verbal, written, and interpersonal communications.
Must be proficient in use of computer, including variety of computer software and internet applications; word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
Utilize knowledge of business mathematics.
Organize and manage activities and personnel.
Ability to motivate employees using interpersonal coaching skills.
Ability to speak in front of a group in a clear and concise manner.
Analyze sales efforts to determine whether sales quotas are being met.
Maintain confidentiality.
Required Experience
Experience/Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. Some college strongly preferred.
Minimum two years of sales supervisory experience required.
Working knowledge of cable industry strongly preferred.
Must be bilingual, English/Spanish.
