This is an Individual Contributor role accountable for driving significant growth in key/strategic accounts in the Pharma/CRO/CMO segment by leading the identification and the closing of business in all VWR product categories. This position will require a focus on Expanding and Acquiring accounts through collaboration with the Area Vice President and key VWR general office personnel. This leader will give account specific direction to the field management and sales teams. Success in the position will be the achievement of the Pharmaceutical / CRO / CMO Sales and Gross Margin goals assigned to this role.Job Responsibilities: Drive top line and gross margin growth in key accounts; providing significant overall lift to the Pharmaceutical / CRO / CMO sector Provide leadership, with Area Vice President, in achieving key financial goals Collaborate with key functions to establish and grow national and regional accounts Become single point of contact for National/GPO customers (example: E&I, HHMI, Federal Government and Premier) Provide market insights and direction to regional and corporate organizations Mutually drive growth in the Acquire category by collaborating with counterparts in field management, field sales and general office (grow the number of prime and co-prime contract positions in assigned account base) Mutually drive growth in Expand category by collaborating with counterparts in field management, field sales and general office (grow the number of prime and co-prime contract positions in assigned account base) Drive growth in key accounts in Private Label/VWR branded products Provide significant input to Category Management, Finance and Operations relative to key business drivers and challenges Where appropriate, assist field management and sales team in the maintenance of Serve and Retain accounts
