Description
An exciting opportunity to lead a high-caliber team in the delivery of our B2B solutions and capabilities in support of the Global Commercial Payments (GCP) organization. This position is responsible for the technology delivery and application health of our existing Buyer Initiated Payments, Payve, vPayment, Corporate Account Reconciliation and BTA Connect products, together with an additional suite of applications including Online Statementing and Payment solutions (OSPC/COP). There is a strong emphasis on driving innovation and reducing delivery time-to-market as well as utilizing Agile development techniques to manage product backlog and market deployments for these solutions. The individual will actively participate in long-range strategy planning to address complex business issues, provide leadership to cross-functional teams and serve as the primary point of contact from project/program inception to delivery, managing risk at the portfolio level.

  • Supports the enterprise strategy by providing input on the alignment of the business and IT strategy (working with technology experts)
  • Ensures appropriate utilization of technology experts to drive synergy and technology re-use to deliver global innovative solutions
  • Drives resolution of conflicts between vendors, business leaders, and technology groups
  • Reviews and oversees portfolio delivery plans in terms of schedule, cost, scope, and quality
  • Supports and guides the development process, collaborating effectively across multiple cross-functional teams to skillfully execute on milestones and deliverables in a timely manner
  • Proactively anticipates any risks and issues that may arise during the delivery of the portfolio plan and ensures that appropriate mitigation actions are undertaken
  • Participates in the engagement of delivery and/or support teams, negotiating where necessary to resolve any resourcing conflicts that may arise due to availability or skill
  • Monitors the quality of any vendor or third-party supplied resources by reporting on any trends, issues, and achievements, and escalating where appropriate
  • Promotes continuous improvement in technology delivery processes to drive overall improvements in application health, quality and performance
  • Actively engages in resourcing processes to ensure organization agility
  • Ensures adherence of portfolio (or platform) supported to Sarbanes Oxley Compliance requirements
Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a leader in the delivery of B2B or B2C solutions with a strong understanding of industry capabilities, and a good ability to network
  • Strong understanding of agile and waterfall development methodologies
  • Proven ability in implementing large application development programs
  • Demonstrated experience establishing B2B capabilities with emphasis on working with cross-functional teams and implementing cross-organizational governance
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization and within a complex and dynamic culture
  • Proven analysis and interpretation skills
  • Ability to deal with rapid change, quickly assimilating new business areas, and delivering solutions against emerging problems
  • Strong ability to think and act strategically, while operating with considerable tactical responsibilities
  • Typically possesses prior relevant professional work experience including business analysis, or development and project management experience
  • Requires prior management and/or supervisory experience
  • Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines
  • Ability to manage and coordinate global teams (both IT and business)
  • Possesses strong motivation skills and ensures that resources are fully engaged
  • Ability to navigate a large organization and develop strong relations across IT and the business
  • Demonstrates ability to think strategically and tactically about the delivery of the portfolio plan, with strong, independent problem-solving skills
  • Utilizes collaborative working practices, with a strong ability to deal with ambiguity/conflicting objectives
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or has equivalent work experience
