Required Qualification
Minimum Education: B.S.N. degree in nursing and/or certification as a CLS specializing in microbiology and/or an M.P.H. from an accredited School of Public Health. Specific training in public health and infectious diseases through an accredited graduate degree program and/or through a CDC approved infection control training program
Minimum Experience: 5 years acute care experience in nursing or in microbiology in an acute care setting. 2 years experience as an Infection Control Coordinator
Req. Certification/License: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Clinical Laboratory Scientist from the State of California and/or an M.P.H. in infectious disease epidemiology from an accredited School of Public Health.
Range: $42.60 - $50.63 per hour.

Job description/Responsibilities
Coordinates, plans, directs and evaluates policies and procedure to control and prevent infection throughout Brotman Medical Center. Collaborates with Los Angeles County Health Department and the Physician Chairperson of the Infection Control Committee in the ongoing surveillance and prevention of all communicable diseases. Provides ongoing education to all staff on Infection Prevention issues. Functions as the hospital Infection Prevention advisor to all necessary hospital committees.
