Director of Advertising




The Director of Advertising will report to the Head of Marketing and be responsible for partnering to conceptualize the companys marketing plan and develop effective marketing campaigns which bring the Intel brand and products to life across a variety of mediums (ATL, direct, event, channel, and online). This senior position will manage all aspects of the go to market and sustaining advertising planning, work across the division and the company to craft campaigns and execute on brand. This person will also be responsible for managing all strategic partnerships and consumer promotions with internal and external teams, both current and future.

Specific tasks

Develop and manage annual marketing budgets, provide analytics and make recommendations on tuning marketing spend across all mediums

Develop opportunistic promotions that drive customer acquisition in creative means

Manage a growing staff

Partner with advertising and media agencies to drive creative development, execution, and reporting across all mediums

Create strategic relationships with agencies, finance, product marketing, sales and channel teams

Drive consumer partnership opportunities which broaden the brand and surprise and delight consumers

Manage online partnerships, promotions, paid/non paid including banner, sponsorships and SEM.


Qualifications / Experience sought

Extremely resourceful, highly creative and high energy, able to brainstorm and implement new ideas

Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities

Ability to manage budgets both small and large, striving for do more with less

Demonstrated ability to develop creative marketing strategies

Possess the ability to interact with multiple people/groups of all levels and to effectively communicate brand strategy

Bachelors degree required in marketing, business, communications or related fields

10-15 years of related experience in an advertising agency or marketing communications organization

The successful applicant will also be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-focused, and often interrupt-driven environment. Working as a self-starter, a curiosity to both learn and teach, strong organization skills and attention to detail are essential attributes for applicants, as is creativity and a tendency to 'think outside the box.' As important, we are looking for someone who enjoys and will serve as a role model within the Intel culture, has a passion for our products, and a deep desire to surprise and delight customers.
