Director of Business Communications, College of Business/Graduate Business Communications, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL
The Director of the Business Communications Program will administer the graduate and undergraduate components of the communication aspects of the College's degree programs. Duties include: management of the unit and academic program, faculty supervision and performance review, assessment of the academic program and student learning, strategic deployment of faculty, representation of the unit and College on various committees, scheduling classes, handling student grievances, teaching 2 sections per year, assisting with evaluation and observation of graduate students, and maintenance of academically qualified faculty status for AACSB accreditation. The anticipated start date is August 7, 2013.
A Doctoral degree in Rhetoric, Communication, or English; college teaching experience in a communications-related field; and at least 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience; and excellent communications skills.
A collaborative style and ability to work closely with academic deans, chairs, and faculty to enhance academic programs; an entrepreneurial mindset; experience in eLearning course development and delivery; and professional experience outside of an educational setting in business communications practice.
Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000
