This role will be responsible for creating a partner self-service, web-based infrastructure to support and grow a healthy ecosystem of hundreds of technology alliances. With over one hundred partners and an increasing demand for new partnerships, Pivotal is looking to implement the systems and programs necessary to foster low-touch ongoing relationships with its partners and to recruit additional partners. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing those systems and relationships.

Role & Responsibilities

Work hand-in-hand with the sales and product organizations to help define key partnering priorities

Create and manage a web-based tiered partner program infrastructure that can operate primarily on a self-service basis, but can also accommodate deeper relationships with more significant partners

Work closely with different internal product teams and help drive partner requirements

Work closely with partner organizations to drive certification of third party products for use with internally developed products

Communicate relevant project’s status and timelines with internal and external constituents

Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis


Prior experience building out an ISV program and recruiting partners to participate in the program

Prior experience in web-portal or partner self-service infrastructure creation

Cross-functional expertise across engineering, product management and business development functions

Ability to dissect business requirements and understand engineering and product dependencies

Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, project/task prioritization, schedule development and project management

Track record of building strong relationships with partner communities

Previous experience with product management and product integration

Proven success in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves approach.

Excellent communications skills (verbal, written and graphical)

Excellent people and project management skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third party partners

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred/MBA a plus
