POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Director of Business Development for Market Research & Analytics for Optimal, you will sell research and social analytics tools to market research departments of major corporations and vendors who need social media capabilities in North America and globally. Primary duties include:

Meet prospecting activity goals and hitting revenue targets.

Coordinate the preparation, documentation and presentation of sales packages, RFP’s, presentations, and analysis.

Prepare sales updates for management

Provide marketplace feedback to help develop the products our team is building to meet customer demand

Network at key events and/or make presentations to generate leads and raise the profile of Optimal

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have:
At least five (5) years experience in selling market research software and/or services to market research departments with current contacts in those organizations

The ability to successfully schedule meetings with decision makers at these companies to present this new medium and service.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish, develop and maintain business relationships, as well as have excellent presentation and negotiation skills.

Competency in Microsoft Office suite of software as well as CRM tools such as Salesforce

Excellent working knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, YouTube, Foursquare and others.

Location for this job is ideally Palo Alto, but is flexible.
