Role Summary

This role will serve our Private Client Services Group (PCS), primarily focused on selling mutual funds, custom glide paths and other multi-manager solutions directly to define contribution record-keeping platforms, their plan sponsor clients and the intermediary retirement plan advisor. This role will be responsible for DC record-keeping platform relationship management, new business development, sales and profitability targets. In addition, this role will be responsible for the day to day management of DCIO field specialist responsible for support of PCS Retail Sale and Service teams. Activities will also include liaison to AI DC efforts, development and delivery of key client or industry thought leadership presentations, executing and supporting Russell’s DCIO strategy and marketing initiatives, attending relevant outside conferences, and cultivating referral relationships with strategic distribution providers.

Position Responsibilities :
Coordinate the sales and service of Russell’s intermediary DCIO distribution strategy and goals

Develop sales methods, presentations and comprehensive messaging for intermediary distribution of Russell’s DCIO products

Initiate a high level of contact with DC recordkeeping platforms clients and develop long term profitable relationships

Utilize Russell’s wide range of product and service capabilities to provide institutional quality solutions to our DCIO clients

Lead and manage a team of DCIO intermediary field specialists with the goal of growing DCIO AUM, and Strategic DC partnerships in coordination with PCS Sales and Service teams

Collaborate effectively with Russell AI DC team, to leverage resources in a matrixed organization

Maintain and enhance Russell’s though leadership position in the DC industry through active participation in industry conferences, organizations and publications.

The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:

10+ years of experience with a proven success record in sales and relationship management (with direct DC recordkeeping clients and/or retirement plan intermediaries)

5+ years DCIO sales experience strongly preferred

Thrive in team focused network organization and engender support from product partners

Strong prospecting, lead generation and relationship management skills to include proficiency with enterprise-wide contact management system

A high energy level and the ability to be focused and self directed are essential

Outstanding communication, presentation and consensus building skills required, in addition to proven team leadership and project management experience

Strong business judgment, resource management, business development and negotiation skills

In-depth investment industry knowledge, including capital market theory, asset allocation retirement portfolio development, manager selection, retirement income solutions and DC pension plan regulation

Bachelor degree required, as are Series 6, 7, 63 and 24 licenses

Master degree and/or CFA designation a plus
