The Director of Exchange Operations serves as the primary, accountable person for ensuring optimal operational performance and compliance for Exchange participation within his/her respective state territory or Exchange assignments. The Director will accomplish this optimal performance and compliance level by (1) leading, directing, facilitating, collaborating, and/or coordinating efforts with MVP corporate resources, across functional areas as necessary; and (2) personally executing any work necessary to meet both regulatory and business requirements related to operational performance for the assigned Exchange(s) including addressing any related Exchange Business Unit needs. The Director provides advice and consultation to the Exchange Business Unit and corporate functional areas, and performs educational services including presentations, training, and other similar services related to the operations of the Exchange when requested. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: Bachelor s degree. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum Experience: Five years relevant experience as a Manager in a technical or operational capacity or business unit in the health insurance industry. Project management experience with cross-functional teams, as the accountable Project Manager. Demonstrated success in planning, building and managing an operational capability subject to compliance standards. Demonstrated success in change management, and continuous business process improvement with focus on meeting deadlines, maximizing resources, attaining required results and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Required Skills:
" Recognized coaching and leadership skills with superior communication skills, both oral and written.
" Strong interpersonal skills including facilitation and motivation skills.
" Knowledge of and/or experience with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
" Highly self-motivated and directed with proven ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
" Proven ability to lead others to achieve necessary objectives through influence, and not due to direct report or management hierarchy
" Demonstrated ability to set standards and effectively deliver in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment and ability to unify a group of business resources, IT resources, and their respective departmental leaders around those standards. Uncompromising commitment to quality and service.
" Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Access and Visio preferred.
