The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an outstanding faculty candidate at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to fill the position of Director of the Family Studies Center at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Center's functioning, including research, clinical, educational, and financial activities. Level of appointment will be commensurate with experience. Candidate should possess a background in behavioral science with interests in family studies and a track record of research productivity and funding in this area. Areas of emphasis could include family therapy, systems theory, group process analysis, and/or risk factors for psychopathology. The candidate will be responsible for clinical service, research, and teaching. Applicants must hold an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree in a related field. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain appropriate Texas licensure. UT Southwestern houses a doctoral program in clinical psychology and a residency in psychiatry as well as world-class clinical research opportunities.
