Job Summary

To manage short and long term financial planning while providing senior management with analysis on profitability of existing business segments and new opportunities as identified and/or requested. Develop complex financial modeling and quantitative analysis to support strategic planning. Also provide in-depth analysis regarding opportunities for growth and cost containment. ~

Primary Duties

  • Manage financial analysts responsible for evaluating opportunities to improve business unit performance, including the preparation of complex financial models (feasibility studies, DCF/ROI analysis, etc.) to evaluate new and existing business opportunities
  • Lead development of the annual operating budget, long-term plan as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts
  • Develop presentations that communicate the Company's financial goals, operating results, historical trends, etc. to the Company's senior management and its Board of Directors
  • Review financial and operating results with management to insure the Company and business units meet and/or exceed financial targets
  • Analyze trends in key performance indicators, and performance vs. peer/ industry benchmarks, identifying and communicating key business risks and opportunities
  • Work with business unit and senior management to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company's budgeting and forecasting processes
  • MBA preferred
  • 10 plus years financial planning and analysis experience - ability to develop long term three statement (income, cash flow and balance sheet) models
  • Experience in managing and re-engineering financial processes
  • Working knowledge of Financial Software; Experience with TM1 and/or comparable OLAP software and planning tools a strong plus (Business Objects BPC)
  • Proven ability to manage business forecasting, apply quantitative and statistical analysis to produce complex financial modeling to drive business decisions
  • Skilled in preparing effective presentations, with clear narrative and impactful graphics
  • Proven ability to train and mentor other financial professionals, and to guide the analysis of complex issues
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to implement control procedures
  • Must be able to manage multiple large projects successfully
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound business judgment
  • Self-starter able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Combination of financial and statistical background to combine operational and financial data into actionable analytics
