Salary: A minimum starting salary of $75,000 (25A) and a comprehensive and competitive fringe benefit package are provided.

The ideal candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Mathematics, Statistics or related social/behavioral science with excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills; Three years’ experience using quantitative research methods and statistics; Experience using qualitative research methods; Advanced programming skills in a statistical software tools such as SPSS (preferred), or SAS required; Knowledge of relational databases; Familiar with IPEDS and other external reporting needs; Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty and staff at the college. Preferred Requirements includes SQL programming skills are highly desirable; Experience working in a higher education environment, preferably in a community college setting; Experience using Banner; Experience using Webfocus or similar reporting tool.

Description Delaware County Community College, a competency-based institution, committed to diversity invites applications for the Director of Institutional Research in our Provost Office.

The Director IR reports to the Associate Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and directly oversees tasks related to external reporting (including IPEDS), institutional research, internal reporting processes (including data management collaboration with various offices across the campus), and appropriate forms of data management and dissemination. The Institution recently acquired WebFocus reporting tool and will be rolling out the product to all sectors of the college. The IR Director is expected to play a key role in this implementation.

Primary responsibilities includes but not limited to e nsuring that planning, collection, analysis, and reporting of college-wide data on retention, academic programs, and co-curricular activities used for planning, marketing, budgeting, and project development and evaluation; ensures coordination with College offices and faculty in survey design and data collection, analysis, and reporting internal survey research for the College; ensures timely and accurate responses to all legally required and necessary external and internal data reporting requests; ensures the production of reports, including College performance indicators, and other information which can inform and support college decision-makers; oversees academic data integrity, quality assurance, and common data definitions; ensures that institutional data collection and reporting processes are reliable, valid, and ethical; compares college data to benchmarking and community data; liaises with the Office of Information Technology and the Banner Application Team in extracting data for institutional decision-making; attends professional meetings and workshops to keep abreast of emerging trends in the field of IR; conducts training and respond to faculty and programs data request; performs related duties as assigned by the Associate Vice Provost.
