Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all activities associated with Major Campaigns on behalf of the American Cancer Society, High Plains Division.
-Serves as the Campaign Liaison with and between Division Development department, Project Director, campaign volunteer leadership and assigned campaign staff.
-Develops a comprehensive Campaign Plan for the Division.
-Determines a prospect research, cultivation, and evaluation strategy and oversees the implementation of that process.
-Supervises the organizational and prospect management activities of other major gift staff assigned to support the campaign.
-Implements and oversees a system of prospect and donor tracking in concert with volunteers and major gifts staff.
-In conjunction with the Division Development department, plans and implements strategies to secure philathropic support from the top 100 identified prospects.
-Initiates and participates as necessary in the creation of suitable and persuasive campaign collateral marketing materials and campaign communications.
-Evaluates campaign progress in relation to established goals, regional and nationwide benchmarks, and implements changes as necessary.
-Ensures that progress and other campaign related meetings are scheduled and managed.
-Develops and oversees a pledge reminder and tracking system to ensure long-term donor stewardship.
-Performs other duties as requested by Division Development department.
-Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Five years of experience in the field of major gift fundraising.
-Demonstrated ability to create and write effective grant proposals.
-Proven presentation skills including public speaking experience, outgoing and engaging personality and familiarity with high level donors.
-Must be a team player and interact well with other members of the income development department, the health initiatives department and other departments as appropriate.
-Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills and the demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.
-Ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities in a positive, focused, and timely manner. Proactively address issues as they arise.
-Remains composed under stress and takes responsibility for delivering on personal and organizational commitments.
-Strong ability to work independently with limited supervision.
-Ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources and make appropriate decisions.
-Proficient knowledge in Microsoft office and other software applications, Internet-based applications, and computer equipment.
