PURPOSE: Manages end to end optimization of the supply chain across all company management locations. This includes directing and coordinating management activities of DuctSox Corporation both domestic and international.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Source supply of specified materials and products needed with a goal of minimizing costs while maximizing reliability of supply to meet operational needs. This includes negotiating with vendors and suppliers and coordinating Domestic and International shipments.

Coordinates production and related activities in accordance with policies and procedures.

Directly manages manufacturing through Internationally located sub-contractors. .

Responsible for multiple facility locations to evaluate and manage persons, process, and inter-company arrangements and allocations

Monthly and Quarterly evaluations of overall China operations relative to goals with pending adjustments as necessary.

Participates as an active member of the management team to develop strategic planning, budgets and competitive intelligence.

Facilitates project teams for new products to ensure quality and marketable products are developed.

Creates developmental objectives with the people who directly report to him/her. Create a measurable means of evaluating the objectives, and coordinate performance objectives. The result of this activity will ensure that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.

Interface with representation network and customers.

Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines and employees.

Responsible for production safety, costs and product quality.

Manages production to promote profitability of the corporation.

Oversee plant maintenance for efficient equipment maintenance, plant housekeeping and grounds control.

Industrial / manufacturing engineering and development of manufacturing software / IS requirements.

In conjunction with the management team, the incumbent will develop and implement procurement and utilization strategies for all capital equipment.

Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvements.

Arrange for maintenance of equipment and other needed services.

Act as a liaison between engineering and production to help assure product is made to customer requirements while minimizing production costs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Source materials to meet specifications and demand requirements

Ensure best possible pricing while meeting product specifications.

Minimize costs while maximizing dependability of supply and service of vendors

Effective management of production, manufacturing engineering, technical services, and plant maintenance to ensure safety, productivity and profitability.

Provide mentoring relationship to subordinate supervisors.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages 2-5 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 6-50 production employees . Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also directly supervises 2-5 non-supervisory support staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Experience:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
