Overview: Effectively leads and directs day to day operations of the catheterization lab ensuring efficiency and effectiveness within department, including but not limited to; boarding & scheduling of cases, supplies & equipment, case turnover, pre-to-post process of care, intra-departmental handoffs or patient discharge process. Responsible for executing strategic initiatives affecting department or involvement in service line development as requested by senior leadership. Hires & maintains a competent workforce appropriate to procedural volume and hours of operation. Directs, supervises, orients/trains and evaluates staff performance including coaching and discipline when appropriate. Promotes a healthy and safe work environment for both staff and patients. Enforces evidence based policies, procedures and standards of care. Assumes budgetary and fiscal accountability for areas of responsibility. Develops annual improvement goals utilizing both clinical and process indicators and develops action plan to achieve goals. Works with medical staff to create a team based model of care focused on creating an exceptional service experience for patients and families. Maintains a constant state of readiness and either meets or exceeds applicable regulatory standards.
Minimum Education: BSN
Preferred Education: Master Degree
Minimum Experience: Five years clinical nursing experience in Cath Lab with 3 years of leadership experience
Preferred Experience: Five years management/supervisory experience in Cath Lab
Required Certifications/Licensures: Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arizona. CPR and ACLS required.
Preferred Certifications/Registration: CCRN or CEN preferred
