Summary of Responsibilities:
The Director of Production Management and Control is responsible for uptime and delivery of all production services. Within this role, the Director manages daily production and problem management services to include job scheduling, application support engineering, change control, incident and problem management and escalations, systems administration and operations, network administration and operational database administration. The incumbent has responsibility for full time employees within the group as well as direct responsibility for our outsourced data center and managed services provider. The incumbent will be comfortable and experienced directing distributed teams that are composed of full time and outsourced employees.
Essential Functions: Set and manage service delivery to meet or exceed service level agreement for SC USA managed environments. Manage production services to ensure achievement of service levels and quality metrics. Direct, manage, develop and motivate full time staff and outsourced professionals with direct reporting. Makes and/or recommends final hiring and firing decisions and takes disciplinary actions for a team of up to 30 people. Build proactive strategies to manage change and ensure continuity of services. Manage problems and problem escalations in accordance with ITIL standards. Focal point of problem resolution and escalation. Ensure proper documentation and run book of all processes. Direct change management procedures and control all production changes in accordance with service levels. Coordinate with various parties on delivery and implementation during transition phases. Plan and co-ordinate operation resources, including internal teams and contractors. Monitor and control all operational activities. Set, maintain and improve alerting and monitoring of all systems, applications and critical infrastructure.
Special projects as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: BS or BA degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field Ten (10) + years of progressive experience in IT data center, infrastructure and operations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrable leadership skills and experience Five (5) + years management and supervisory experience with excellent time management abilities Strong knowledge and experience in organization development/change management Progressive experience implementing and executing the ITIL framework Very strong conceptual, analytical, judgment and communication abilities are critical
