Associated Renewable is seeking a Director of sales to provide leadership and expertise to the current sales teams.

Associated Renewable is an end-to-end, full service energy consulting & carbon management company in the $300+ billion Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Cleantech & Sustainability Markets. The firms deploys tailored energy efficiency solutions and leverages renewable energy technologies. The Director of Sales will be working at the corporate headquarters in New York City but will also need to manage international sales personal and teams. The Director of Sales will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical support to the current account managers as well as identifying and developing new accounts. The Director of Sales will provide feedback to executive management and to the board of directors.

Managing, coordinating and training the sales team to bring in new as well as repeat business through relationship building and business development calling •

Developing sales quotas & revenue targets for account managers under management •

Develop and communicate a thorough knowledge of the energy industry, its structure, trends, and key issues to understand a customer’s primary business goals, operations, challenges, and requirements •

Work closely with Account Managers to identify business development needs, acquire and close leads, align resources and facilitate meetings •

Serve as a project manager for implementation and coordination of firm wide account development initiatives including networking & solicitation, cold calling, online lead generation campaigns, •

Seek internal technical guidance and project support from engineering, finance, grants and incentives, and marketing teams to ensure sustained customer satisfaction •

Maintain and develop specialty knowledge of the firm’s energy efficiency & renewable energy solutions, products and services •

Suggest and participate in strategic initiatives for our market segment/industry/sector/service line to implement go-to-market activities for achieving market leadership •

Monitor account plan progress, including market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity; provide progress and execution updates •

Prepare sale plans and presentations for key commercial, industrial and government customers to implement energy efficiency & renewable energy services, products and solutions •

Target and contact key decision makers and develop positive and long-term relationships to secure the sale of Associated Renewable’s offerings •

Review and distribute pipeline information specific to current and potential market segments, and execute creative strategies that support opportunity development •

Lead and facilitate account planning and team meetings to maintain pipeline integrity •

Manage the full range of the sales-cycle from lead to closing, and also post-sales activities •

Cultivate effective business relationships and communicate full scope of Associated Renewable solutions and services to meet customer business goals and achieve company sales objectives, including sales volume and market share

Minimum of 4 to 7 years managing other sales personnel •

3 to 8 years energy Industry experience •

Proven track record of securing sales of complex offerings to
senior management and •

Strong influencing skills required to manage and train sales team •

Proven ability to identify customers’ needs and articulate the companies’ energy solutions •

Management or business development function; prior project management experience a plus •

Effective sales negotiation and closing techniques •

Proven experience with demonstrated ability to influence external customers •

The ability to identify customer energy needs, effectively communicate energy solutions, and position Associated Renewable as provider of premier energy solutions •

Demonstrated sales lead development and account cultivation •

Strong verbal, written, computer communication and technical presentation skills •

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive business relationships
