At Yummly, our mission is to become the digital platform for food. For marketers, we've combined the best of search, recipe content, and social media advertising into pioneering new form of native advertising for food advertisers.
As our Director of Sales (East), you'll drive and grow new business revenue with top CPGs and the agencies that represent them on the East Coast. You understand and anticipate how marketing decisions are made, and you will persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. This is a senior, client-facing sales role requiring meaningful online advertising expertise, proven client management and engagement skills, and a broad base of advertiser and agency contacts. The candidate should be aggressive and results oriented, with a strategic focus, a high degree of organization and ability to work independently, and the desire to drive for results and revenue.
Deliver aggressive sales targets
Cultivate relationships with major advertisers and agencies that result in significant advertising commitments.
Create sales presentations using market trends, case studies and Yummly data.
Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized solutions.
Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.
Execute and deliver high-quality answers to all RFPs.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth with new and existing customers.
Serve as the voice of our advertising customers in our marketing, product and technology roadmaps
Position can be based on the East Coast
We’re looking for a passionate, food obsessed, experienced salesperson to help lead our sales effort. You’ll also have:
5+ years of sales and digital media experience, including but not limited to publisher and/or agency background
Proven track record of delivering and exceeding sales goals
Experience in and knowledge of search, display, brand content, mobile, and social media advertising. Selling new advertising models a plus.
Solid contacts/relationships with digital and creative agencies, CPGs, and retailers
Proven track record of driving meaningful incremental revenue by acquiring new clients.
Demonstrated ability to convert clients' spends from other mediums (including but not limited to TV and magazines) into Yummly marketing relationships.
Extremely proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, and able to work well in a flat, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
