Job Description:
This position is located in Columbia, SC for our newly growing Food Service division. This position requires experience with a Key Operator (Cafeterias, Schools) as well as Distributor Negotiation. The Director of Sales will be directly responsible for the overall management of all client sales and related activities for the Acosta Food Service Team.

Position Reports to:
Vice President

Responsibilities & Duties:
Manage the overall sales process.

Oversee the hiring and development of the sales organization.

Directly supervise and monitor team members on selling and consultative techniques.

Deliver principals’ volume share and sales fundamentals at the lowest possible cost.

Develop relationships with principals and customers.

Effectively use knowledge of customer, market and principals to successfully sell principals specific programs and initiatives as well as company objectives and initiatives.

Involve marketing, technology and sales support as needed to accomplish objectives.

Maintain key client relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the team’s client base.

Administer performance reviews and Success Factor goals for all direct reports.

Qualifications:
15+ years sales or marketing experience with successively increased responsibility

Food Service experience including Key Operator and Distributor negotiation

Experience managing and directing others

Experience building teams and motivating others

Valid driver’s license required; must be available to travel

Proficiency in a variety of software packages used to support the sales function

Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills

Experience analyzing sales and marketing information needed to make effective sales presentations.

Solid understanding of the fundamental principles of financial management and experience monitoring and controlling expenses

Education:
Bachelor degree required
