To direct and oversee the implementation of all safety and security programs for the purpose of providing protection and a sense of well being to all guests and team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Manages the Security Team and participates in maintaining constant surveillance of the entire hotel to detect potential sources of security problems, safety and fire hazards.
-Conduct regular patrol of the property to ensure all areas are safe and secure.
-Ensures security team takes on both a proactive property security and customer care/contact and support role
-Managing the hotel’s emergency plans
-Establishes safety guidelines for hotel employees and guests
-Directs key and property access control policies and practices
-Screen, interview, select, manage, review and counsel Security Supervisors and Officers to maintain order throughout the hotel.
-Takes leadership role with both the Security Team and Safety Committee
2.Handles complaints, investigates and thoroughly reports on customer or employee injuries, worker’s compensation claims, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, vandalism and other complaints as necessary.
-Conducting all internal and external investigations as needed
3.Maintain responsibility for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel.
4.Provide employees with the information needed to perform their job effectively
-Orient employees to the department and hotel and provides on the job training on job responsibilities
-Manage the day to day activities of the Security Department
-Promoting awareness and providing security training for management and line staff
5.Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Radisson Blu’s overall mission, vision, values and strategies
-Directing department budgets, forecast, payroll and training activities
-Two years Security Manager experience required
-Prefer 5 years plus Secuirty Managment
-Previous supervisory experience required
-Minimum of two years experience at an upper upscale band property within the past five years
-Able to resolve conflicts, guests, supervisor and employee
-Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
-Excellent multitasking skills
-Basic computer skills required
-Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for an eight-plus hour shift
-Visual ability to observe team members in the work place, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to both team member and guest behavior
