This highly visible role will be responsible for managing the architecture, integration and deployment of high-performance software development. This vital position will also be responsible for the optimizing the performance of multiple high-growth teams within our organization.
Software Product Development
Lead, architect and manage strategy, roadmap and development of a collection of high performance engineering teams.
Leverage and optimize existing technologies (for core competencies) and best-of-breed external products and services (for efficiency).
Deliver innovative solutions based on addressing complex problems within the business that are both future-facing and retrospective.
Lead, coach and passionately teach best practice skills and habits in furtherance of a coherent and transparent product-oriented roadmap whereby software developers and the business clearly understand the "why" and the "what" that must be built.
Staff Development & Management
Manage the career development of direct reports. This includes mentoring Junior and Senior Software Engineers that are both management track or programming track focused. It also includes championing standard Agile and pragmatic practices across all of the development teams.
Manage the assignment of software engineers to internal client teams as needed, balancing FTEs with contractors and outsourced project developers, and with an eye on long-term continuity for any given team.
