DESCRIPTION

The Director of Strategic Accounts will be responsible for developing and guiding the strategic expansion plan for each of the accounts; maximizing account profitability and sales targets; serving as the primary account contact; providing account leadership. This includes managing all aspects of the sales cycle to achieve assigned sales quotas. The Director of Strategic Accounts will develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and foster positive, successful relationships with clients. This role will also involve penetrating and developing new major account opportunities and prospects, performing sales presentations to prospects, negotiating contracts, and closing new business deals. This individual will work closely with pre-sales technical resources to assess and define client requirements. Ultimately, the Director of Strategic Accounts will be measured based on sales and consulting services into these accounts and the level of client success and satisfaction achieved by our client base.

DUTIES

  • Manage and close sales opportunities for hc1.com and deliver measurable performance improvement results for customers.*Gather information on the prospect's business processes; create critical success factors and implement a consultative sales approach to deliver value-added business solutions.*Conduct executive level discussions from VP to C-level.*Understand complex, unique client requirements and work with the team to define, propose and sell solutions to meet client needs.*Collaborate with internal resources to share information and coordinate sales strategy.*Structure presentations, solutions and contract negotiations that move the client toward the sale.*Stay current on industry knowledge including general trends, emerging technologies and competitive landscape to assist clients with maximizing their success.*Accountable for meeting or exceeding assigned sales objectives and revenue quotas, growing existing relationships and acquiring new clients.*Continuously develop and manage a sales pipeline to monitor sales activity against assigned sales targets.*Create and maintain accurate account and territory plans.*Maintain contact with the client to resolve problems and to seek additional opportunities.*Develop a deep understanding of client needs and their key differentiators.*Pursue opportunities unique to each assigned account in terms of marketing and operations.*Achieve account plans required to meet overall revenue and growth targets.*Coordinate account and market reviews of key metrics and best practices.*Proactively reaches out to new customers to set up presentations/ meetings.*Develop account strategies in accordance with overall company strategy.*Develop account goals and business plan with customer.*Conduct regular reviews of business performance and strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS or BA degree.*Candidate must have core lab knowledge and experience.*Solution sales experience with a track record of exceeding quota is desired.*Proven ability to identify, analyze, discuss and confirm application/system requirements from prospects and relevant stakeholders and prepare and present winning presentations and proposals.*Candidate must have good organizational, prospecting and follow-up skills.*Must be a self-motivated problem solver that can both work independently and in team environments.*Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)*High-energy self-starter who is a collaborative team player.*Proven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within company and the client. *Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with client.
