Primary responsibility includes ensuring that all Modeling and Analytics Projects for assigned business unit, are accurate, completed timely and are in compliance with any internal and external requirements including regulatory, legal and contractual through the use of requirements reviews, appropriate sign-offs and audits. The Director will be responsible for rejecting non-compliant models and working with all involved parties to ensure that necessary changes are made to revise the models to ensure accuracy and compliance. The Director will perform these tasks at the direction of the Sr. Director, and will work in close coordination with the Modeling and Analytics Management team, Sr. Leadership, Legal, Modelers, Technology, Product Management, Vertical, sales, credit bureaus, consumer disclosure center and state regulatory agencies.
Manage key audit functions including monitoring and improving current workflow and procedures.
Prepare reports and supporting documentation to communicate and record audit results and compliance with all audit requirements. Work closely with the Sr. Vice President and Sr. Director, Modeling and Analytics, and other designated parties to educate others on audit requirements. Work with leadership, in-house counsel and the business units to develop strategies for assessing compliance with international privacy laws as LexisNexis business units expand overseas.
Lead and manage the Audit team
Work closely with the Technology team to ensure that all model requirements are fully understood prior to the initiation of the programming effort and prior to models being turned back to the Audit Department for Audit.
Facilitate the creation of new and improved processes and procedures to streamline and automate the audit process to reduce turnaround time and ensure accurate results.
Under the direction of the Sr. Director this role continually evaluates compliance with our audit programs and develops new audit processes and measures based on emerging methodologies, regulations, competitive practices and industry research.
Serves as a primary escalation point related to issues and questions surrounding all Models.
Assess real or potential impact of proposed modifications to the audit process and manages LexisNexis? compliance with data providers? contractual requirements (e.g., Experian, TransUnion) as they relate to the use of data in our models.. The Director develops relationships with key stakeholders to foster an environment of open communication, understanding, and mutual respect amongst teams.
Assist the Sr. Director with developing and executing the strategic plan for Audit, including audit design and effectiveness strategies.
B.A. or B.S. Degree in statistics, math, engineering, MIS, Computer Science, Finance or Accounting Required Experience & Training or applicable industry experience
10 years Modeling and Analytics auditing experience including experience in data analysis and data manipulation, familiar with predictive modeling processes, and statistical analysis, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
5 years Management experience.
Experienced in the use of modeling and analytics in insurance, financial services or data vendor business including an understanding of various output from statistical methodologies.
Thorough understanding of the regulatory environment, internal policies and procedures of perspective clients, and a keen understanding of the markets within which LNRM operates.
Excellent analytical and project management skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills including Customer-facing and teleconference presentation skills.
