Work closely with the Head of Communications to develop communications strategy on network, program and talent levels
  • Manage strategy and implementation for innovative and effective program publicity campaigns, including media and talent relations, interviews, photo shoots, press tours and on-set visits
  • Research, write and edit concise and effective press materials, including press releases, press kits, personnel announcements and ratings announcements
  • Maintain excellent relations with consumer and trade media
    • Cultivate positive relationships with talent, producers, PR agencies and representatives, agents, managers, production companies and programming executives
  • Work closely with producer/editor to create compelling publicity video
  • Craft key messages and media train talent and executives for interviews, appearances, panels, press conferences and tradeshows
  • Work closely with internal departments including development, production, marketing, ad sales and distribution to create and execute strategies, network goals, announcements and presentations
  • Plan and execute events including premiere and finale parties, press stunts, red carpets, Upfront events and Television Critics Association tours
  • Manage day-to-day activities of junior team members
  • Oversee network awards, competitions and festivals activities
  • Work closely with the Head of Communications on internal communications
  • Additional duties as needed
  • 7+ years of television publicity experience with demonstrated capability generating positive press coverage for television networks, programs and talent is required
  • Strong existing relationships with consumer and trade media who cover television and entertainment
  • Proven track record working with talent, production companies and executives
  • Excellent writing skills. Samples required; writing test will be administered
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills a must, as is the ability to juggle many tasks at one time and change gears quickly
  • Experience managing junior staff
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to thrive independently in a flexible, fast-paced team environment
