The Director of Credit Marketing will direct and implement multi-faceted business strategies into compelling credit and loyalty marketing promotions/programs, driving topline and credit sales while ensuring brand compliance and creative effectiveness. Tightly control production and process management to ensure 100% accuracy and timely delivery/implementation of programs.
Oversee loyalty/credit communications for Macy's with the goal of driving topline and credit sales, growing customer engagement/awareness and capturing loyalty. Lead the development and production of marketing collateral and offers, coordinate communication across all touchpoints - direct mail, digital, learning & development and when as appropriate - Macy's Marketing NY, Citi, Amex Merrchant and dunnhumby partners
Lead strategic planning and strategy to develop new and innovative promotions, improved program performance including creative, production processes and legal compliance. Document, present and influence decisions with divisional partners, internal teams and senior management
As assigned Credit Marketing and/or Project lead for major corporate initiative(s), direct and coordinate all aspects covering a wide range of responsibilities, direct and indirect, across organizational boundaries, delivering a top quality project
Develop budget; maintain expense within budget; ensure accurate monthly forecasting
Develop high performing team members and enhance department effectiveness through coaching and mentoring. In addition to building partner relationships internally and externally
Relationship Development and Management (Citi, dunnhumby, NY Marketing, American Express (Merchant) & Heinrich Marketing Agency)
Interview, hire, and train associates; plan, assign and direct work, appraise performance, reward and coach associates; address complaints and resolve problems
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Must have proven leadership to ensure quality and effective marketing strategy, production and process management, expense control and business relationship management in a complex matrix environment
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills required
Must have strong understanding of brand
Minimum of 1 year needed to become fully acclimated
Proven decision-making and project management skills required
Must have the ability to effectively interact with, present information to, and respond to questions from all levels of the organization and partners
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
