Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites nominations and applications for the position of Director, Fermentation Science Institute. The Director will plan, coordinate and supervise all fiscal and programmatic aspects for the new Fermentation Science Institute and report to the Associate Provost for Academic Programs. The successful candidate is expected to coordinate all activities of the Fermentation Science Institute, handle all administrative duties essential to the Fermentation Science Institute's operations, and will be responsible for obtaining funding for the Fermentation Science Institute's activities. This is a fifty percent time appointment for the academic year and a two month summer appointment.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate is restricted to a current SIU Carbondale employee, must hold a tenured faculty rank, have familiarity with fermentation science related programmatic, research and outreach activities, and have an established record of obtaining grant funding.

Effective Date: As soon as possible.
