POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Director will lead Affinnova’s global Instructional Design and e-Learning function. This person will be responsible for delivering learning programs that enables growth in both customer adoption and employee competencies.

Specifically, you will:
Lead and build the Instructional Design and e-Learning team that is capable of meeting the current and future needs of the company
Work with executives to identify key employee and customer needs that drive the most systemic value creation for the company
Develop content that enables learning programs for customers to drive adoption of the company’s technology and is recognized as the industry standard
  • Collaborate with experts and leverage resources inside and outside the company to co-create content that is comprehensive, correct and actionable
Develop content that enables the training & development of employees globally in foundational competencies and emerging skills due to expanding product line
Design programs including web only, blended services and social learning that are effective, scalable and sustainable
Empower managers and facilitate a network of trainers that can effectively deliver learning programs across the company’s employees and customers
Define success metrics linked to employee development and customer adoption and regularly measure progress

REPORTS TO

This position reports directly to the Chief Finance and Operations Officer while also working closely with the CEO, sales leaders and product development

CANDIDATE PROFILE & REQUIRED SKILLS

We are seeking a rare cross between a sales focused advocate and an organizational learning expert. Here are some of the specific aspects that we are looking for in the ideal candidate:

Customer Advocate – Track record of successfully developing e-Learning, classroom and mixed media training services programs that drive customer adoption
Training & Development – Experience effectively scaling training and development programs in rapidly growing and evolving organizations
Depth of Experience – Career progression that includes hands on content creation, training roles and product development highly valued
Technology Leadership – Expertise in web and social technologies that can drive or augment learning and development
Organizational Leadership – Track record of directly leading and building strong teams and effectively collaborating to influence the outcomes of the entire organization
Smart and Curious – With an ever expanding product portfolio and rapidly evolving job functions, the VP must be a versatile thinker who gets charged up by all the new challenges
Flexible and Resourceful – In a high-growth, dynamic business, this role will demand flexibility and resourcefulness. The right VP seeks out and thrives in such environments.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Currently leading e-Learning and related services for a growing technology company
Will consider senior management consultants from talent and organizational effectiveness practices with the appropriate experience

EDUCATION

Undergraduate degree in Education, Technology or Organizational Development or related field; Educational credentials that cross disciplines valued
High academic achievement (GPA – 3.5+)
