Job Summary: - Planning, development, operation (24 / 7 / 365) and maintenance of all air conditioning / heating, electrical and plumbing systems for the university campus. Management of all associated public utilities (electricity, water, sewer, natural gas). Duties and Responsibilities: - Research, analysis, recommendation, development, planning, and implementation of all components of campus-wide mechanical, electrical and plumbing system installations, optimizations, repairs and replacements. Direct oversight of contracted MEP design professionals. - Operation and maintenance of all campus chiller plants, water and air cooled chillers (minimum chiller size - 750 tons), cooling towers, direct expansion refrigeration units, water and steam boilers, pumps, valves, air handlers, air and water distribution, controls and monitoring systems. Energy management system software and devices. Direction of all associated university personnel and contractors. - Operation and maintenance of all campus electrical transformers, switchgear, meters, distribution, panels, circuits, starters and drives, emergency generators and transfer switches, controls and monitoring systems. Direction of all associated university personnel, contractors and utility providers. - Operation and maintenance of all campus domestic water meters, storage tanks, pumping systems, distribution, devices, controls and monitoring systems; drain / waste / vent piping and devices; natural gas meters, distribution, devices. Direction of all associated university personnel, contractors and utility providers. - Operation and maintenance of all campus fire detection / notification / suppression systems. - Operation and maintenance of all campus elevator systems. - Operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment including (but not limited to) coolers, freezers, fryers, washers, boilers, ovens, and associated university personnel and contracted services. - Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education: - Baccalaureate Degree. Experience: - Minimum of five (5) years experience in plant operations and an additional three (3) years in a supervisory position.
Education: - Bachelor's Degree in engineering or engineering technology disciplines. Experience: - Higher education work experience.
