Summary of Duties:
• Responsible to research best practice for area(s)
• Develop vision/strategic in accordance with the DON plan for area(s)
• Exemplifies servant leadership utilizing the sacred work philosophy
• Content expert for regulatory requirement relating to area (a)
• Develops needed p/p as needed
• Evaluates compliance to regulatory requirements and develop/monitors action plans as indicated
• Responsible for assigned cross organizational projects
• Ensures project implementation/sustainability on unit(s)
• Ability to develop proposals/projects
• Evaluates quality/risk metrics for area(s) and develops appropriate action plans
• Ability to perform and model root cause analysis
• Responsibility for unit(s) budget/capital management and regular tracking/action plans
• Oversee appropriate staffing/productivity management
• Assures optimal operational throughput
• Develops/maintains relationships with key physicians and builds business for service line
• May work off unit(s) majority of the time
• Attends majority of administrative meetings for unit(s)
• Responsible for patient rounds (Studer) every other week
• Expert written and verbal communication
• Strong ability to manage and model conflict management
• Displays high degree of collaboration skills within nursing and interdisciplinary teams
• Proactivity develops internal and external relationships as relates to unit(s)
• Actively supports and models shared governance philosophy
BSN required, Masters preferred
• Within one year is certified in Nursing Leadership
• 3-5 years management experience
• Proficient computer skills- Work/Excel/PowerPoint
