The Director’s position is a full-time position responsible directly to the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. The Director will supervise the M edical E ducation Support Services Office at the School of Medicine, including both personnel and fiscal management. The Director will provide staffing and support for accreditation activities for the medical education program (LCME) and the allied health education programs (CAAHEP).

The Director’s primary substantive responsibilities at the Medical School involve working with administration and faculty to provide medical education support services, to provide faculty development activities in education and assessment, to assure the integrity and availability of institutional data, and to conduct education outcomes research. Furthermore, the Director will provide the staffing for accreditation activities, including preparation of databases and self-assessments, coordination of communication with accrediting bodies, and conduct of site visits. He/she will attend meetings of the Curriculum Council, Evaluation Council, and Coordinating Committee to provide data and expertise in support of the policy and deliberations of the Councils and the Coordinating Committee. He/she will work with the Department Chairs, Course Directors, Clerkship Directors, the Associate Dean for Curriculum, the Assistant Dean for Faculty Development, the Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs, the Assistant Dean for Allied Health and others in accordance with policies as developed by the Councils of the Medical School and the Dean.

Minimum Qualifications

A PhD, MD, EdD or related doctoral degree is required along with five years of related work experience.

Salary starts at $58,300 and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
